Introduction

 

PLC splitter is based on a quartz substrate integrated waveguide optical power distribution device, has the advantages of small volume, the working wavelength range, high reliability, good light uniformity etc characteristic, is especially suitable for passive optical network ( EPON, BPON, GPON etc ) connected local and terminal equipment and realize the optical signal devide.

Is the splitter in the optical handover box?

To be exact: the splitter can be placed in the optical box!

Optical delivery boxes, optical cable distribution boxes, optical cable terminal boxes, optical splitter boxes, all-in-one machines, etc., can be placed optical splitters.

Which optical splitter should be placed is specified by the engineering designer, and it is generally sure to be placed in the most reasonable place.

If you put it too far from the user's end, it will definitely waste materials and become multiple cores in one core.

It should be as far away from the user side as possible, but excessive concentration on the user side is not enough, which is extremely detrimental to maintenance and management.

The splitter is not used too much, the light attenuation is too large, and the terminal equipment is not good.

The 1:8 split loss is 9.031 and the additional loss is 0.6, for a total of 9.631dB.

The 1:64 split loss is 19.7dB.
