Blockless/Mini module PLC (Planar Lightwave Circuit) splitter is a type of optical power management device with mini module package fabricated using silica optical waveguide technology. It is widely used in PON/ODN networks to realize optical signal power splitting with 1xN or 2xN splitting ratio. Wolon provides a series of customized mini module PLC splitters to meet different requirements on port configuration, cable type, fiber length, input connector, and output connector.

Is the splitter in the optical handover box?

To be exact: the splitter can be placed in the optical box!

Optical delivery boxes, optical cable distribution boxes, optical cable terminal boxes, optical splitter boxes, all-in-one machines, etc., can be placed optical splitters.

Which optical splitter should be placed is specified by the engineering designer, and it is generally sure to be placed in the most reasonable place.

If you put it too far from the user's end, it will definitely waste materials and become multiple cores in one core.

It should be as far away from the user side as possible, but excessive concentration on the user side is not enough, which is extremely detrimental to maintenance and management.

The splitter is not used too much, the light attenuation is too large, and the terminal equipment is not good.

To give a simple example, the most common cell fiber-to-the-home construction now:

The bureau side gives 3 mouths (the bureau side is in short supply!) If you can save it), come out a 4-core optical cable (the optical cable does not have 3 cores), to cover a total of 300 users in a community (5 buildings, each building 2 door holes, 10 floors, 3 households per floor).

OK!

1) After the light enters the splitter, the ordinary light can be divided into the following three categories according to the wavelength:

Near ultraviolet (near UV): 200-380nm.

Vacuum ultraviolet (vacuumUV): 10-200nm.

Extreme UV, extreme UV: 1-10nm.

2) From the perspective of human health and environmental protection, it can also be divided into UVA (315~400nm), UVB (280~315nm), UVC (below 280nm).

3) Another classification method is single-mode, multi-mode.

Single mode: 1310nm. Multimode: 850nm.

How to connect home optical fiber to the splitter?

Ordinary optical fiber transceivers are point-to-point and cannot be connected to optical splitters. To use PON OLT/ONU to use point-to-multipoint, usually 1 OLT through the optical splitter connected to 16-64 ONU, downlink broadcast transmission, uplink ONU Burst Mode work, time-sharing multiplexing.
